Wingo, Kentucky, woman arrested on drug charges after traffic stop

MAYFIELD, KY (KFVS) — On Monday, Feb. 6, a passenger was detained in Mayfield as a result of a traffic stop.
According to the Graves County Sheriff’s Office, a search of the vehicle found about 22 grams of methamphetamine, a set of electronic scales, plastic bags, a glass smoking pipe and small amounts of cash in a bag inside the vehicle.
Stephanie Ray, 29, of Wingo, allegedly admitted to a deputy that the drugs and drug paraphernalia found were hers, the sheriff’s office said.
Ray has been taken to the Graves County Radio Control Center, but prison officials will transfer him to a facility outside the county.
Ray was charged with first-degree controlled substance trafficking, first offense (meth) and drug paraphernalia (purchase/possession).
The driver of the vehicle was subpoenaed for multiple traffic violations and released after the investigation was completed.
